The Bachelor 2012 has been one of the most controversial and damaging seasons in the reality television show's history. California wine maker Ben Flajnik (a jilted competitor on The Bachelorette in 2012) seemed to con his way into the hearts of several of the contestants by being charming and reassuring to them. On March 5th, 2012 the Women's Tell-All episode aired on ABC. The Bachelor 2012 show host Chris Harrison did his dead-level best to keep his own comments about the affair between Ben Flajnik and his mistress Courtney Robertson neutral, but it was clear that he was struggling to keep his mouth shut both to an about Ben. You could hear the tension in his voice when he questioned the women of the house about how they treated one another, but he was visibly not enchanted with the testimony of Robertson. As the drama unfolded tonight, with the help of show host Chris Harrison, she walked in on the middle of a cocktail party. Fans of the show never saw this one coming... the woman was none other than Shawntel the mortician back from the dead. In case you don't remember, she was one of the last woman rejected on Brad Womack's season (version 2). And guess what? She claims she is already head over heels in love with the winemaker. Uh-oh. Competing with new offerings from CBS and NBC, The Bachelor won a scant 7.7 million viewers for its season premier. Last year, Bachelor star celeb Brad Womack drew in 9 million viewers. People would rather watch failed relationships (a la star celeb splits like those of Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Russell Brand, and Sinead O'Connor) than watch love blossom for Ben Flajnik. Fans and critics alike continue get the rumor mills worked up over love birds like green celebrities Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, who have shown zero signs of relationship troubles.
