Unique winged lizard looks just like flying dragon in AVATAR movie?

Movie Trivia!

Have you seen the tiny winged lizard that looks just like the flying dragon Tarouk in the international hit movie AVATAR?

[Jan. 9]

These rare animals are very cool reptiles, and while there is no confirmation that James Cameron or his team of artists ever saw these little flying machines, the likeness between them and the Avatar flying dragons in the blockbuster 3D movie is extraordinary. See for yourself.

The photos were run by a Reddit user named biophilia_curiosus. Very cool backyard find, dude.

James Cameron’s AVATAR was such a sensational film most likely because all the imagery he seemed to use was inspired by real wildlife, plants, and sea creatures found in out world — making the Nabu environment both fascinating and familiar.

If you know more about these winged lizards, please feel free to leave zoological, environmental, and biological habitat links links for these cute little guys in the comments section below.
