Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony confirmed their celebrity couple split on Friday, July 15. So what really happened here to rock the lives of the singing lovebirds? The shocking announcement came less than a year after Jennifer Lopez said having kids saved her marriage and only weeks after the American Idol judge had issued press remarks about how happy her home life was with Marc and their children.
Happy, indeed.
Obviously, when she told the press that her decision to procreate with the Latin Singer because the two star celebs were struggling to keep their relationship together was disconcerting to any parent who agrees with the notion that you do not have kids to save a marriage. Whenever healthy people hear a woman thinks having a baby will fix a relationship or keep a man interested in her, bells and whistles about low self-esteem and dysfunctional family relationships go off incessantly.
Breed to keep the attention of anybody, expect to be single (or at least unable to ever trust the love of your mate who might stay to keep themselves involved in the daily life of the kids you are raising).
Since Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are breaking up, the likelihood of her making more public appearances out and about on the red carpet is likely. We also expect the celeb mom to be spotted out clubbing now — even though we’d rather see her use her star power more wisely. Since Affleck married the gorgeous Jennifer Garner and settled down to have kids, “Jenny from the block” married Latin pop music star Marc Anthony. The two have been involved in humanitarian charity work through Amnesty International. JLo and Marc Anthony also made a sizable charitable donation to the Children’s Health Fund’s Operation Assist after the American city of New Orleans was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina, putting the celebrity couple in the green celeb spotlight for charitable giving.
